Tlachinoli, a young mother from Zitlaltepec, Mexico seeking asylum in the United States, gets detained at the US/Mexican border, and is separated from her children. When she escapes the detention center where she's being held, she enlists the help of a Texan skip tracer to help her find and extract her children from the clutches of the US government.
